Hu. Hotel Re-opens in Memphis
Condé Nast’s Readers’ Choice award for the Best Hotel in the South, Hu. Hotel has reopened. Named for Hugh Lawson White Brinkley, a local businessman who put Memphis on the map by connecting its railroads and developing it into a shipping hub, Hu. closed for renovations at the start of the spread of COVID-19. It re-opens with two dining options and 110 art-deco-inspired rooms. Lucy’s Cafe offers nostalgic food and drinks that touch Memphis’ soul, highlighting local ingredients and Southern flavors. The Hu. Roof bar offers 180-degree sweeping views of the Mississippi River with a menu featuring craft cocktails as well as Southern-inspired snacks and flatbreads.
